As I’ve always called BC’s coastal islands home, it seemed natural to turn to this beautiful landscape and seascape when I began writing and painting a number of years ago. This website provides excerpts from my  book, Complicated Simplicity: Island Life in the Pacific Northwest (2019) along with images of paintings that I’ve been working on over the past few years.

And I’ve added a link to images of my paintings that were featured in an art show and sale called Summer  Perspectives that was held at the Union Club in Victoria over the months of October and November 2025. My work will be featured in shows at the Central Saanich Library and at Uplands Golf Club in the spring of 2026.
